These Sounds will have to meet Somewhere in between - Volume One
I’ve never heard of the Signifer Label and when this 27 track compilation turned up the only band I recognise in the track listing was the electronic band Disharmony (not to be confused with metal band of the same name).
With one on the longest titles so far to be released this year the limited pressing CD contains tracks that range from the atmospherics of Tonikom to dub/noise of Aphorism. All styles are pressed into two CD’s of rhythmic noise, dark ambient, technoid, and power noise.
The highlight for me was the track Bruised and Broken by Disharmony meets LPF12. Disharmony are already considered perhaps one of the best industrial/glitch/atmospheric bands currently around and their track with LPF12 is nothing but sheer enjoyment. I can’t really say there is a dud track on this release and I’ve learnt of many new bands I’ve not heard of before.
